Apply for a Position in this project.

Ages 8 to 16

Hello,

If you’re here, it means you are interested in this opportunity. This is going to be, by far, the most exciting show of 2026 and definitely a first of it’s kind. Every job on this production from Hosts to back end business, will be executed by a kid between the ages of 8 - 16. There are 20 positions and you need to apply for only the 1 that you are best skilled to accomplish.

This project is for and about book lovers. YOU MUST LOVE BOOKS! You can’t fake this. You must love to read or at least into the movies if you’re crew, read a lot and love to discuss your books. The show is as follows:

Yes! We are Literary Pundits!
Hosted by 4 clever, charismatic book lovers
Shoot and produce 8 Live Stream episodes at a library/book store location between San Diego and San Francisco
Every Saturday at 2PM PST March 14, 2026 - May 2026
1 Hour Live Stream to multiple multiple connections including the library system with a 1/2 hour raw shoot (meaning camera shooting while walking through the crowd/scene without stopping any particular place or person, shot like an outside perspective)
Discussing everything young adult book world: authors, their lives, their gossip, etc.

 All unscripted and live.
All kids 8 to 16.

ALL MEETINGS/PRESHOOTS MUST BE ATTENDED AND WILL TAKE PLACE AT/NEAR THAT DAYS SHOOT LOCATION (3 in San Diego, 3 in Los Angeles and 2 in San Francisco), TRANSPORTATION PROVIDED FOR CERTAIN LOCATIONS, PLUS TWO PRESHOOT MEETINGS WHICH WILL TAKE PLACE AT CARLSBAD CITY LIBRARY/LOCAL RESTAURANT TBD.
NONE OF THESE ARE REMOTE POSITIONS.

Remember, creative skill and talent has no age limit or gender or color. If you’re good at it, you’re good at it. I want this project to showcase just that. Your generation is smarter and has evolved more than any that’s come before and I truly believe that this project will begin to show the world.

Don’t apply for a position unless you truly believe you can give it your best and don’t underestimate yourself out of applying. Fear and doubt will kill this project. I won’t have it on my set.

Each position pays $300 a week plus a % of all profits, merchandise/ad space sales for you to do your position from March 2026 to May 2026 producing, 13 week period, and shooting the first season. If it takes socially (and it will) we will plan a Summer Cross Country Tour July to September, ending up at Florida's Universal Harry Potter Village interviewing JK Rawlings. You will, of course, need your parents permission to be a part of this project and someone you trust who will always be able to speak on your behalf.

Bryce Entertainment is a self-sustaining non-profit that exists to both produce commercially viable entertainment for the masses and get homeless kids off the streets. I’ve been fighting the government to take care of the over 4 million homeless kids, but it turns out we’re going to have to do that. 50% of the profits from this project will go to help homeless kids, 25% to the next project and 25% to each member that worked on this project, divided equally. This project has no union affiliation or accreditation. There are 20 positions for ages 8 to 16.

If you have the skill, talent and passion for this industry, I can help you develop it. In return, you give me your very, very best work. Together we can make a show that we can all be proud of and, hopefully, start something that will last long after we’ve all moved on with our lives. This is a new area in an industry that is struggling to redefine itself and I believe the future is not controlled by the few, but judged for it’s merits by the masses. I believe you are the future of the industry. Looking forward to working with you.

Always,
Selene Elizabeth Bryce

TECHNICAL DIRECTOR

.This position is in charge of the shoots, making ALL decisions for the look of the show. You must be able to manage live streaming connections to upwards of 50 connections at one time, changing camera angles, intro’s, exit credits, following Host positions on set, commercial injections as necessary, recording episodes for future postings and clips.

Then, following the 1 hour talk/interview show live stream will continue with a raw shoot of the Hosts joining the live audience at an Afternoon Tea. The camera simply moving silently through the crowd.

There are also other shoots, such as occasional promo shoots, Behind the Scenes with fashion stores/departments and the Hosts trying out different looks for the show, shot like a documentary, but fun. All of these are prerecorded and edited for later posting.

There are apps and equipment that make this position almost entirely technical and you have to be already skilled with them, but you also have to have a creative director’s eye for how the show will look to those watching, know your demographics and be able to make it as exciting and interesting to that audience as possible.

CAMERA DIRECTOR

Works with the Technical Director to accomplish everything listed above, while making your lighting and camera show the world the beauty you see. If you use your own equipment then list it or list what needs to be rented/purchased including apps. Also, you will be responsible to edit the prerecorded shoots with the Technical Director.

VFX DIRECTOR

Works with the Technical Director to accomplish everything listed above, while creating eye catching inserts, intros, exit credits, commercials, clips for social media, effects as needed to excite the audience with your passion. This area of entertainment has become so inexpensive and most apps can do what major studios paid hundreds of thousands to accomplish. VFX is eye catching and I love to use it. Give a list of what equipment/apps are necessary.

LOCATION DIRECTOR

Responsible for locating, negotiating, contracting location and that all regulations/stipulations/permits for location are followed and that day of shoot goes without a hitch in each location. Also responsible that everything needed for the shoot, crew, talent, equipment, rentals, posters, sponsors, guests, interviewers, caterers arrives at the correct location and on time. If transportation is needed for crew/talent/staff or anything needs to be shipped, then this position will schedule it and keep the costs within the budget.

SET DIRECTOR

Responsible for how the set looks for each shoot and this will vary because each location will be different. Some articles from Sponsors will be your responsibility to place per instruction from Business Team. Some articles from Sponsors can be used to decorate set. Afternoon Tea set is a separate set, same location, that will include banners, balloons, tablecloths, etc from that Sponsor and food from a local caterer, which must have room for 250+/- live audience attendees that will not disturb the live shoot., but have full view. No seating used.

MARKETING DIRECTOR

Write press releases, talk to news editors to get Talent as guests on their show and stories in their news cycles, write email campaigns, talk with press in person, able to spin off the cuff if trouble happens. Must think outside the box and figure out how to get attention to the project without spending money. The greatest PR people know how to make something out of nothing and can instinctively sense how to handle any situation. This position requires the ability to immediately read others and quickly figure out how to get them to do what you want them to do. How the entire world sees this show will come from this Team, but you will be the face the press deals with. You speak for the entire project.

SOCIAL MEDIA DIRECTOR

Create and post social media accounts of crew working, behind the scenes shots or promo material to entertain and increase followers and encourage them to watch the show. Must know how to write/create short, catchy phrases and visual excitement that will get the public’s attention without using vulgarity or anything that distracts from the character of the show.

The message of Bryce Entertainment is Hope; always has been and always will be. This show, and every show I produce, will lift the world up or at least make the attempt. We don’t hurt others. We don’t seek revenge. We don’t antagonize or taunt. We support. We inspire. We show people it’s okay to dream. We rise above.

CAMPAIGN DIRECTOR

Everything above and creates and plans the campaign, when to release press releases, social media posts, print posters, emails, etc, so they have the most powerful impact. Ensuring that the campaign flows with the message intended.

You can’t just throw out stuff willy nilly, you need to have a sense of the message and how it should flow to the public, creating a steady stream, never a deluge. Sometimes less is more. It’s like you are the Pied Piper and you are trying to lure the public to watch our show and follow our posts and participate in our world and your words/pictures are the music that brings them. It has to be a gentle lure, precisely timed for ultimate effect.

HAIR/MAKEUP/FASHION DIRECTOR

How everyone looks on camera is this positions responsibility. Coordinate with local fashion stores for wardrobe for Hosts, help them coordinate their ‘look’, do make up and hair before each show and photo shoot. Organize the Behind the Scenes pre-record sponsor shoot with the fashion stores and the Hosts trying on their clothes.

The choices you make for hair styles, make up and clothing will inspire a world of other kids to do the same. You need to understand the trends and how to set them without being obnoxious.

HOSTS - 4 POSITIONS

Must have confidence, charisma, star magic, some quality that makes you stand out on camera. A unique look, a way of talking or getting your point across that is unique, a way of looking at the world that is original, a deep love for books and authors and that world and the ability to research your subjects and talk about it in a group setting on live stream in front of a live audience. Also, at some point you will be interviewing authors on the set and sometimes may do live street/audience questions.

These 4 positions will be the face of this project, the one’s the world will see, the one’s on every poster across the globe, the one’s on millions of social media campaigns, the one’s the press will want to talk to, the one’s the world will look up to, the one’s other kids will emulate. It can be intimidating to put yourself out there like I’m asking you to do and do it on live stream in front of a live audience. However, this is exactly what I need you to do.

Are you a Star? Of all the positions in this project, these need you to have at least one person you can trust above all others. Someone who will keep you grounded when the world has you lifted so high you can’t remember who you were.

Include a simple head shot and a full pic of your ‘look’. It isn’t beauty we seek, but charisma, magic, intelligence, that special something that the camera will love and the audience will relate to.

SALES DIRECTOR

Overall responsible for sale of advertising, merchandise and ancillary by setting goals/agendas, determining best fit companies to contact, assisting with finding necessary contacts, negotiating final contracts when necessary and inspiring sales. Sales is a very ‘mental’ position and it takes a lot of positivity to keep it up when you’ve heard a hundred rejections and a great leader will find a way to inspire everyone to keep making forward motion and to meet goals with whatever incentives work best for your crew. Everything this department sells is profit; the production is totally funded.

MERCHANDISE/ANCILLARY DIRECTOR

Create an online store and create/contract merchandise to sell. Try to make them different, but also things people want to buy and quality is much more important than quantity. We don’t want to knowingly sell anything cheap or disappointing to our customers and if we should, there must be a Customer Service Calling Service (contract with a company that will treat our customers to our standards and also fits within the budget) that will make it right. Consider Ancillary income from other sources such as organizing a Yes! We are Literary Pundits! Young Adult Book Expo/Fair or Hosts speaking tours or anything else your amazing brain can come up with that always maintains the quality and standards of the show.

Once we prove ourselves and begin to plan the Summer Cross Country Tour, there will be greater opportunity for merchandise/ancillary. Be creative and original, but don’t try to reinvent the wheel.

COMMERCIAL SALES DIRECTOR

Each shoot will have a set amount of space to insert sold commercials which are already created by the company/sponsor in a variety of intervals from 15 seconds to 30 seconds. This position is selling that space to companies/businesses that align with this projects vision. It is not necessary to sell ad space to fund the project, however these sales increase the amount raised for the cause and the amount each of you receive, as all profits are shared equally with each of you. There is also product placement and many other variety of advertising to sell to small, medium or large companies, as you feel most comfortable talking with the executives.

This requires a charming phone personality that can easily make a connection and then discuss what’s for sale, asks for the money and understands should it not work, they might be a future customer on another shoot/production. Burning bridges personalities need not apply to this position. Finesse, charm and patience are required.

AFTERNOON TEA SALES DIRECTOR

There will be an Afternoon Tea with each shoot. This is an extra item to sell to a Sponsor who will have an entire side set displaying their logos/banners/balloons and we choose the caterer (your job) to supply an Afternoon Tea of cold tea and lemonade  and hot tea and coffee and mini cakes, cookies, scones, tarts or finger foods for all the live audience which can be 250 +/-.

Quality is, as always, more important than quantity, but must stay within the budget. Every detail that touches the audience determines the future of the show and how the public thinks of us.

LEGAL DIRECTOR

Ensures that all legal/regulatory/local rules are being accounted for and that all contracts are acceptable and duly signed and that always the production is protected. Work with Bryce Entertainment legal counsel if a necessary situation should arrive and for project advice as needed. Does not need to know the law, but knows how and where to look it up, can analyze a situation to determine whether or not it is actually a legal issue and has a strong interest in legal/entertainment law. Can assist with negotiating Inkind, Merchandise and Sales contracts and must read all contracts before anyone in the production can agree/sign, including apps, rental agreements, location contracts, sponsor contracts, etc and use that knowledge to protect the production.

FINANCE DIRECTOR

This position is responsible for the production budget, approving/paying all charges/bills/payroll, ensure we receive the funds we are supposed to receive, that all departments stay on budget and that all profits are disbursed at the end of the production. A production never has a carry over balance; once it is finished/wrapped it will zero out. Should this go to a Summer Cross Country Tour, that will be a separate production; new budgets, new contracts all the way around.

Because this is a non-profit, all funds incoming and outgoing are open to the public, so accounting must be accurate and prudent.

PRODUCTION ASSISTANT

This position oversees the entire production. You are second in charge, which comes with a great deal of responsibility. A production is an ever moving maze of connections that all have to come together in precisely the right way and at the right time. It takes someone who is a little OCD and possibly even a perfectionist, but you must be a damn good juggler.

Every deal for every production hinges on another deal that hinges on another deal and they are each necessary to bring the show to the public and they can change direction in the blink of an eye. It’s your job to catch all the pieces before they fall and replace them in the chaos for an outcome as close to perfection as you can get and then be satisfied with the beautiful imperfection you get instead. I’m not sure how it always happens, but everything in the production always works out in the end.. No matter how crazy it gets, somehow it all comes together. Trust that when you can’t trust anything else.

Must be a supportive, lift the people up kind of supervisor/leader. One who inspires with kindness, never fear. Can get the best out of people by inspiring them and has a way of finding solutions when it seems that all is lost. Must also be able to make the hard choices when they come up without hesitation. Ultimately, the production is the priority and your responsibility.

This is a high stress position, but I love it! It’s a game, like chess, but with more at stake. It will test your very soul and leave you wondering why in the hell you ever wanted to do this in the first place…and then you’ll remember, ‘Oh yeah. I love this damn game.’ Win or loose, it’s the most excitement I’ve ever found in life and I’m an adrenaline junkie.

If you don’t have feelings of stone and the ability to completely control them, this job will break you. I’m not saying be hardhearted, but definitely able to take a punch, so to speak. There isn’t a list of skills for this position because it is entirely a personality issue. You are either someone who can do this or you’re not. If what I wrote didn’t scare you, but lit you up inside, then you need to apply for this position. I will defer most decisions to this position. After all, this is an all kids project.
